E-book DescriptionRelease by Nicola Hadaway

"Forever." That’s the response Ben Gongliewski receives, when he asks Miranda Dandridge how long she’s been a vampire. He doesn’t expect the word "forever" in her reply, but then again, Ben never imagined meeting vampires, let alone demons and werewolves, during his time in the Polish Resistance during World War II. Far from being horrified, Ben discovers that Miranda and her friends have very useful … talents … especially when it comes to saving children from concentration camps. After all, in these desperate times, while the line between good and evil is clear, the one between heroes and monsters is very, very blurred.

Marissa Farrar

Marissa Farrar was born in Devon, England, in 1979. She began her love of reading and writing horror at a (frighteningly!) early age, and always wanted to be a writer.
At age twenty she moved to London where she met her husband and went on to gain a Zoology degree at the University of London. After completing her degree she suffered from a case of itchy feet and spent time travelling the world, and still loves to travel. After living and working in Australia for a year she returned to the UK where she worked in the pharmaceutical industry before having her daughter, who is now two.
During this time she continued to write. Her overactive imagination often kept her up at night, as a creak in the floorboards was never just a squeaky floorboard. Her love of the horror genre grew through the medium of books and movies, and she would happily spend most of her time absorbed in a world of make-believe.
Last year, deciding to escape the British weather, the family moved to Spain where Marissa began to write her first vampire novel.
Marissa wrote ‘Alone’ sitting in front of an open fire while her husband was back in England working. She wanted to create a heroine who didn’t need to be rescued, who just needed to find the strength to save herself, but who was still capable of falling in love. So Serenity was born.
Marissa is now working on the sequel to ‘Alone’, which will take Serenity and Sebastian to an even darker place.
